Kobe Bryant was not only a basketball legend but also a proud father to his four daughters—Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri—whom he affectionately called his “little princesses.” Alongside his wife, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe embraced his role as a “girl dad,” teaching his daughters life lessons about hard work and perseverance.

Kobe and Vanessa welcomed their first child, Natalia, in January 2003, followed by Gianna in May 2006. Their family grew with the addition of Bianka in December 2016 and Capri in June 2019. Kobe often spoke of the joy his daughters brought him, once remarking, “It takes a king to make a princess.”

Tragically, Kobe and his second daughter, Gianna, lost their lives in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Since their passing, Vanessa has credited her remaining daughters—Natalia, Bianka, and Capri—with being her strength, saying they “help me smile through the pain.

Natalia Diamante Bryant, 22

Born on Jan. 19, 2003, Natalia was Kobe and Vanessa’s first child. As a baby, she became a familiar sight at her father’s games, often sitting courtside with her mom or in Kobe’s lap during interviews. Natalia later pursued a career in modeling, signing with IMG Models in 2021. She made her runway debut at Milan Fashion Week in 2023 and even interned for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour earlier that year.

Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant

Gianna, or “Gigi,” was born on May 1, 2006, and shared her father’s passion for basketball. Kobe coached Gigi’s team at his Mamba Sports Academy and supported her dream of playing in the WNBA. “She’s pretty fierce,” Kobe once said, proud of her natural talent and competitive spirit. Their bond over the sport brought them even closer, with Kobe saying he loved seeing the game “through her eyes.

Bianka Bella Bryant, 8

Bianka, born on Dec. 5, 2016, was the couple’s third daughter. Despite being only 4 years old when her father passed, Bianka has remained a bright light in the family. Kobe’s close friend and former teammate Pau Gasol has since stepped in to support Bianka and her siblings, even teaching them basketball. Vanessa often shares heartwarming moments of Bianka’s cheerful personality on social media.

Capri Kobe Bryant, 5

Capri, lovingly nicknamed “Koko,” was born on June 20, 2019, just months before Kobe’s passing. Capri shares her father’s name and quickly became the apple of her family’s eye. Kobe once joked that she was “our best baby,” known for her sweet demeanor and love from her older sisters.

Kobe Bryant’s love for his daughters and the lessons he imparted continue to shape the lives of Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. Through Vanessa’s strength and their close bond, the Bryant family honors Kobe and Gigi’s legacy every day.

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant's Love Story: A Romance to Remember

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant shared a love story that captured hearts everywhere. The iconic NBA star met his future wife when she was just 17 years old, a high school senior in Southern California. At the time, Kobe was a rising star with the Los Angeles Lakers, and their paths crossed serendipitously when Vanessa worked as an extra on a music video for one of Kobe’s projects.

Their connection was instant, and within six months, the young couple were engaged. They tied the knot in April 2001, less than a year later, embarking on a lifelong journey together. Reflecting on their early days, Kobe shared in the 2015 Showtime documentary Kobe Bryant’s Muse: “For me, it was very different to have somebody that I was so close to, because I had been so used to growing up in isolation, really. But now, being in Los Angeles and feeling like I’m going to be a Laker for the rest of my life, I just met this beautiful woman that I just see the world the same way with.”

Vanessa mirrored Kobe’s sentiments, describing their connection as “love at first sight” in a heartfelt Instagram post from November 2020. Together, they built a life full of love, challenges, and resilience, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.
