Fans of The Real Housewives of Miami first met Alexia Echevarria when the show premiered in 2011. She has two sons, Peter, 32, and Frankie, 27, from her marriage to ex-husband Pedro Rosello, whom she was married to from 1992 to 1996. Echevarria later married Herman Echevarria in 2004, but the couple separated in 2015 before Herman’s sudden passing in 2016. On December 16, 2021, Alexia married real estate developer Todd Nepola, though he filed for divorce in April 2024. In 2011, Frankie was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in permanent brain damage. Echevarria opened up about the life-altering event to Muscle and Health, saying, “When you go through a tragedy like that, your whole family falls apart. Only someone who’s experienced something similar can truly understand. It was incredibly heartbreaking, but each day gets better. If you’re having a bad day, don’t lose hope—just remind yourself that tomorrow will be better.
Peter Alexander Rosello, 32
Alexia Echevarria’s older son, Peter Alexander Rosello, was born on August 11, 1992. He was 19 when the first season of RHOM aired in 2011. Peter lived in Paris for a few years before moving back to Miami in 2017 to pursue a career in commercial real estate, as Echevarria shared with Bravo.com in 2020. On Peter’s 30th birthday, Echevarria marked the occasion on Instagram, writing, “You’ve always marched to the beat of your own drum. And even though you stress me out with your laid-back approach to life, I continue to learn so much from you. You are kind, compassionate, giving, strong, and beautiful, inside and out.” In January 2022, Peter was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery following an alleged domestic altercation with his girlfriend. However, the charges were dropped in February. According to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, “the victim stated definitively that she did not want to cooperate with the State and refused to provide a statement about what transpired.
Frankie Rosello, 27
Alexia Echevarria’s second son, Frankie Rosello, was born on February 25, 1997. At age 13, Frankie was involved in a serious car accident. He was riding in the passenger seat of a friend’s car when the driver lost control, crossed a median, and collided with oncoming traffic. Frankie was rushed to the hospital, where he required immediate brain and pelvic surgery, followed by three months in a medically induced coma. The accident left Frankie with lasting brain injuries. In 2017, Echevarria and Frankie opened Alexia + Frankie’s Beauty Bar, a nail and beauty salon in Florida. “He’s very involved, and he loves the customers,” she shared in an interview with Distractify. “He brings so much joy and happiness to.” When RHOM returned for season 4 in 2021 after an eight-year break, Echevarria expressed her excitement for fans to see Frankie again. “I want to show everyone the progress he’s made,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “That’s why I always wanted the show to come back, because I know so many prayed for him.
