Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are raising their two children, Jack and Isabella, with a “proper” British upbringing. The longtime couple — who first met at a party in 2009 — live in London with their son and daughter, born in 2017 and 2022. For Rosie, who grew up on a farm in Devon, and Jason, a native of Derbyshire, raising their kids in the U.K. felt natural.
“I’ve always wanted to raise my children in the U.K., for them to be educated here,” the model told Elle U.K. in March 2021, adding that “there’s not much grit in [Los Angeles].” Beyond wanting her children to grow up resilient and outdoorsy, Rosie emphasized the importance of giving Jack and Isabella a childhood away from the spotlight.
“We wanted our kids to have a childhood away from cameras as much as we could,” she told The Telegraph in October 2024. “We made a rule that we wouldn’t share their faces on social media, and we’re not going to walk down the red carpet with them.”
Here’s everything to know about their two children — Jack and Isabella.
Jason and Rosie welcomed their first child, Jack Oscar Statham, on June 24, 2017. A few days later, Rosie announced the happy news with a sweet black-and-white Instagram photo of baby Jack’s hand wrapped around her finger. “Our little man arrived! Jack Oscar Statham – 8.8lbs on Saturday June 24th,” she wrote.
In a January 2018 interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.K., Rosie called motherhood “life-changing.” “It sounds so clichéd, but it’s just been the most magical experience,” she said. “Everything feels so special and sweet and wholesome and loving.”
As for Jason, Rosie called him “the best dad” and said that starting a family had only brought them closer. “I can’t even put it into words,” she said. “It’s really a beautiful thing to watch.”
While Jack was born in Malibu, Rosie always had her heart set on returning to England. The British culture and humor,” she told Grazia in 2019. “Since becoming a mother, I’ve found a growing desire to be close to my roots. I’m very proud to be British, and I think the U.K. is a really special place to raise a family.
In August 2021, Rosie revealed she and Jason were expecting their second child with a series of mirror selfies on Instagram. Their daughter, Isabella James Statham — lovingly nicknamed “Bella” — was born on February 2, 2022.
Shortly after her birth, Rosie opened up about adjusting to life as a mom of two. “My heart is very full,” she shared during an Instagram Stories Q&A. “Very happy and grateful to have two healthy babes.”
Rosie also reflected on how different things felt the second time around, saying, “Second time round I feel much more confident and relaxed.”
One of her favorite parts of having a second child? Watching Jack step into his role as big brother. In August 2022, she shared a heartwarming video of her two children playing together, captioning it, “My little loves.” She added, “I knew these two would have a strong bond, but I didn’t know what the transition to big brother would look like. Six months in, nothing warms my heart more than seeing Jack with his baby sister.
Rosie and Jason have been together for over a decade, having first connected in 2009. They got engaged in 2016 and have since welcomed two children. While they haven’t officially tied the knot, their relationship remains strong.
The couple has said marriage is in their future, just not a pressing priority. “I think the time will come,” Rosie told Extra after Jack was born. “We’ve been so focused on our work and Jack came along… We definitely talk about it. We’re looking forward to that time — it’s just not a huge priority for us. We’re so happy.”
Though they occasionally attend events together and share glimpses of their life on social media, they keep most of their personal life private. Still, it’s clear their bond — and their love for their family — runs deep.
From red carpet moments to quiet family life in London, Jason and Rosie are embracing parenthood with intention, love, and just the right amount of British charm.
