Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are navigating co-parenting after their split. The former couple shares two children: 10-year-old Otis Alexander, born in 2014, and 8-year-old Daisy Josephine, born in 2016. After seven years together, they called it quits in 2020. While their separation was initially “amicable,” things turned more complicated when Sudeikis served Wilde with legal documents, leading to a contentious custody battle. In March 2023, Wilde’s legal team accused Sudeikis of attempting to “litigate her into debt” as they debated whether their kids would live in New York City or Los Angeles. A month later, Wilde’s team claimed that Sudeikis wasn’t paying child support. The custody case was eventually settled in September 2023, with Sudeikis ordered to pay $27,000 per month in child support. The two now share joint custody of Otis and Daisy, with a “week-on, week-off” schedule.
Otis Alexander, 10
Otis Alexander was born on April 20, 2014. Wilde shared the happy news with fans a few days after his birth, tweeting, “Ladies and gentlemen, Otis Alexander Sudeikis has LEFT the building! (I’m the building)” alongside a sweet black-and-white photo. She later revealed that Otis was named after Otis Redding, explaining, “I’ve just always been a huge fan.” While it’s unclear if Otis or Daisy will pursue acting like their parents, Wilde has noticed her son’s budding love for singing. She told in 2018, “He loves Moana, obviously, and when he thinks about Moana, he thinks of himself as Moana.” She shared that Otis belts out songs in the car, and his favorite artist is Beyoncé, whose music he discovered on Wilde’s iPad. For Otis’s second birthday, Beyoncé even sent him a signed photo. In 2020, Wilde posted a video of Otis playing the drums, giving fans a glimpse into his expanding musical interests.
Daisy Josephine, 8
Wilde and Sudeikis welcomed their daughter, Daisy Josephine, on October 11, 2016. Wilde confirmed her pregnancy in April of that year and later shared a sweet Instagram post of Daisy on an oversized sheep mat. She wrote, “Daisy Josephine Sudeikis. Born, like a boss, on #internationaldayofthegirl.” Daisy shares her initials with her father, whose full name is Daniel Jason Sudeikis. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Sudeikis explained that they chose the name Daisy because of Wilde’s cousin and added, “Her middle name is Josephine — my father’s middle name is Joseph, and Liv had a great-grandmother named Josephine.” In 2018, Wilde described 18-month-old Daisy as a “total hambone” who loved to make laugh and was “totally un-self-conscious.” Both Daisy and Otis even offer critiques of their dad’s work. After his fourth Emmy win in September 2022, Sudeikis was asked if his children think he’s as funny as everyone else does.
