John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are proud parents of two children. The couple, who first sparked dating rumors in June 2021, welcomed their son, Malcolm Hiệp, just five months later. In July 2024, they tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony at a friend’s house in New York, with Sam Waterston officiating and only their son and one other witness present. Two months later, they welcomed their second child, daughter Méi June, in September 2024.
In March 2024, Munn shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer a year prior. She later spoke to about how the diagnosis affected her parenting and her relationship with Mulaney. “It would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him,” she said, expressing her gratitude for his unwavering support throughout her battle. Mulaney was by her side through every surgery, managing to balance caring for their son while supporting Munn. “And he did it all happily,” she shared.

The couple welcomed their first child, Malcolm Hiệp, on November 24, 2021. Munn shared a photo of their newborn a month later, calling him her “Golden Ox baby,” while Mulaney posted his own tribute, saying, “He hasn’t even tried seltzer yet.” In a 2024 interview, Munn opened up about the surprise pregnancy, revealing she and Mulaney barely knew each other at the time, but decided to raise their son together two months before his birth.
As of 2022, Malcolm has begun speaking, with Munn teaching him Mandarin. In a 2023 video, Munn shared a clip of Malcolm repeating Mandarin words from a book gifted by friend Ali Wong.

In September 2024, Mulaney and Munn welcomed their second child, daughter Méi June, via gestational surrogate. Munn shared the joyful news on Instagram, calling Méi a “little dragon” in reference to her birth during the Year of the Dragon. She also explained the meaning behind her daughter’s name, “Méi (pronounced May) means plum in Chinese.”
A source close to the couple shared that they are overjoyed to be a family of four, adding, “They are in total bliss with Méi and Malcolm.” Despite their challenges, the couple is now closer than ever, fully embracing their new family dynamic.
