Perry announced her pregnancy in a music video
Perry delighted her fans by announcing her pregnancy in the music video for her song “Never Worn White,” released on March 5, 2020. In the video, she sings, “Cause I’ve never worn white / But I wanna get it right / Yeah, I really wanna try with you,” as she gently holds her baby bump. Continuing, she croons, “No, I’ve never worn white / But I’m standin’ here tonight / Cause I really wanna say ‘I do.'” Shortly after the video’s release, Perry took to Instagram Live to discuss the announcement with her fans. “I’m late, but you already knew that,” she quipped, adding that this was “probably the longest secret” she had ever had to keep.
