Born on March 24, 1956, Steve Ballmer is an American businessman and investor who served as the chief executive officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014. He owns the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and co-founded Ballmer Group, a philanthropic investment company.As of June 2024, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates his personal wealth at around $147 billion, ranking him as the seventh-richest person in the world. Forbes, however, places him as the tenth-richest person with a net worth of $125 billion. Ballmer was hired by Bill Gates at Microsoft in 1980, leading him to leave the MBA program at Stanford University. He became president of Microsoft in 1998 and succeeded Gates as CEO on January 13, 2000. Ballmer retired as CEO on February 4, 2014, with Satya Nadella taking over the role. He remained on Microsoft’s Board of Directors until August 19, 2014.

Peter Ballmer, the son of former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, openly discusses his experiences growing up affluent in the Feb. 13 episode. He admits to being “deeply uncomfortable” with his father’s billionaire status and fame. “It was not something that I wanted to be a part of who I was,” he remarked. “It’s not something that I made a part of my identity.”

Aaron Ballmer is the son of Steve Ballmer

As previously mentioned, Steve Ballmer is the proud father of three sons, with Aaron Ballmer being the youngest.
